What matters for project planning
One item on this list is central to the trade and the rest are not. Whether the parcel is on city utilities or on a well and septic system changes the work fundamentally -- it determines whether there is a lateral to the main at all, who is responsible for what beyond the building, and whether a drain-field assessment belongs in the conversation. In a city this dispersed the answer genuinely varies street to street, so it is worth confirming rather than assuming. The canal and stormwater network matters at one remove, since a high water table beside it is hard on a drain field and on any below-grade work.

Verify the property, not just the city
Citywide context cannot establish a parcel’s flood zone, historic designation, stream buffer, permit requirements, soil conditions, or concealed construction. Confirm those items with the appropriate authority and selected provider before work begins.
